Summer meltdowns no more
Summer is the time for both makeup and temper tantrums. It’s that time of year when wearing makeup can be hard and going without it can make your flaws stand out.
So, here are some tips you should follow this summer, and watch out for your makeup so it doesn’t end up in your favourite drink.
A primer is a must if you want your foundation to last longer. You only need a small amount of this light-weight, oil-free product. Before you put on foundation or concealer, you have to put this on skin that has been moisturised.
pigmented cream concealer
Use a pigmented cream concealer to cover any flaws on your skin, like dark circles, and blend it well.
Silicone for the summer.
What you need for the summer is a light foundation made of silicone. The silicone stops the foundation from getting into your skin and eventually running down your face.
Keep it light.
If the weather is bad, it’s a good idea to use less foundation. Use a damp sponge to put on a small amount of foundation and blend it in well. Let it rest for a while before you put more makeup on it.
Creamy eye shadows
Unlike powdered eye shadows, which get clumpy and smudge when you sweat, cream shadows don’t get lumpy and smudge.
waterproof mascara and liquid eyeliner
The only things that can stand up to the hot weather are waterproof mascara and liquid eyeliner. A big no kohl pencil or kajal. Mascara that is waterproof can last through a rough, long, and hot day.
Cream and gel blush:
This season, you need a cream or gel blush on the apples of your cheeks. Make sure to stick to these textures, even if they are brightly coloured.
Tint for the lips:
This season calls for a light swipe of a tinted lip colour or balm. No heavy lipsticks that could cause major meltdowns.
To get rid of shine, use a big, fluffy brush and translucent powder to dust your T-zone. Lightly dust it.
Instead of touching up your makeup all the time in the summer, keep these on hand. They soak up oil without messing with your makeup.
